Welcome to Chicago Academy High School!

As I'm sure you already know, Chicago Academy High School has a dual mission: to send our students to college, and to train the future teachers of Chicago. What that means to you is that your student will enjoy the benefits of college prep curriculum, as well as individualized attention from resident teachers. The residents are currently enrolled in courses at National Louis University or University of Illinois-Chicago, and will be with your student all year in their classes. This will ensure that, when the resident begins lead teaching during the 3rd quarter, he or she will be familiar with your student's personality and educational needs. I strongly believe that a student's achievement can be improved when the teacher and parent/guardian have a cooperative relationship. That is why I encourage you to email me, Ms. Vaughn, or Ms. Graham-McHugh, our two residents, with any questions about your student's progress, or information you feel is important for me to know. I look forward to a wonderful year!

A.P. Parent Night is Monday, November 19th from 5:30 - 7:30. Meet the A.P. teachers, get information about the courses and learn about the A.P. exams in May! Hope to see you there.
